I'm a 20 something newly graduated university student working away from home this summer, potentially working on a masters thesis...not sure yet.
Just working on getting fit and losing some of these unwanted pounds! Height: 5'2

Goals!

Through the pain, sweat, and tears…you find success.

So these are my goals (daily and weight wise) and when I reach them, I am going to reward myself. The catch is that I have to maintain that weight for a few days; I don’t want it to be just a flook that I hit that weight for a split second when I was on the scale!

Throughout each day:

Right after I wake up I do a quick workout before my body even knows what is going on (I will add this in, I don’t have it right now as I am at work).

Next breakie time! I have never been a morning eating person so eating anything is an accomplishment for myself to begin with. But I start with a banana/apple/sometimes an orange. 

Next is gym time. I love HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) on the treadmill for 40 minutes (3 minute warm-up, 30 seconds sprint/60 seconds walk alternating until 35 minutes, 5 minute cool down). Next is strength training with a few of the machines/floor work in the gym. I alternate between focusing on abs/back, legs, and arms.

After shower time and some relaxation (assuming that I am hungry) it is smoothie time. :) I only use frozen fruit and a little bit of yogurt. If it is too thick I just add a little water until it is the desired consistency. 

The rest of the day is relaxing and socializing with the other people that live in my dorm.

Supper varies quiet a bit depending on the day/how I feel/when I work/and what I have in my fridge. I stick to lean meats in small portions (1/3 to 1/2 chick breast, or small serving lean ground beef) with veg, and a grain (whole wheat pasta/pita usually). 

Later before bed I go through POP Pilates and another round of exercises just before bed.  

I weigh myself on Friday mornings at the gym before the workout and take measurements later on Fridays. 

Other Rules! 

  • Limit the amount of cheese and peanut butter (I love them both and can get carried away).
  • Drink water majority of the time with the occasional tea. Don’t touch soft drinks! 
  • Eat every food group every day.
  • Really work at getting up by 8 (and later 7) every morning and in bed by 11. This is of course excusing when I work until midnight or work from midnight-8am.  
  • Drink AT LEAST 3.0L of water everyday.
  • Avoid alcohol.
